QuickTrials May Update: New features + Tip
Quick Tip
Here’s a quick tip on how to get more consistent measurements and reduce training costs. Use helper images to guide field staff on the exact way to record an observation and provide sample images for grading assessments. This 30-second video shows how to do this easily in QuickTrials.
Enhancements and features
We are continually enhancing QuickTrials and here are some of the new enhancements and features that have recently been added.
Q (AI assistant) – Latest AI model
Q is our AI assistant that lets you ask natural language questions to quickly understand your trials progress or results. Use Q to spot irregularities, summarize trial data, or do an analysis on the fly.
Redesigned Staff Assignment screen
The redesigned staff assignment page features a modern design and intuitive navigation to make it easier to manage staff and their trial assignments. Assigning by visit, in addition to trial and site, is now possible.

User documentation on treatments
The new documentation offers examples and additional information to help you define and customize treatment factors and treatments for your trials.
New visit list on mobile
The new visit list in the Mobile App is more intuitive when it comes to executing visits in the field. To help with navigating it allows filtering and highlighting visits by different criteria such as trial, site, crop and more. This provides a better overview over past visits and the future progress of trials.
Time filtering for trials list
To help identify specific trials, we now have a time based filter in the trials list. This makes it easier to quickly find the trials you want to work with.
More flexibility with derived traits in active trials
If you want to create custom calculations in a trial (Eg. the average yield weight by plot of sampled values), you can add these any time as a derived trait. When the calculation is no longer needed you can simply remove it. This allows you to create dynamic calculations whenever you need, for as long as you need.
Modernized trial list for data entry
We’ve introduced a redesigned trial list for data entry with improved filtering by trial name and crop. The cleaner layout and faster filtering help users quickly find and update the right trials, improving efficiency in the field.
Expanded Excel exports with partner details
Excel exports now include customer and partner information, making it easier for teams to share trial data with stakeholders and streamline collaboration without needing to manually look up extra details.
User documentation on trial reports
We’ve improved the documentation for Trial Reports to help users get the most from report features and improve onboarding for new team members.
Stats table now included in downloadable reports
The stats table is now available in downloadable reports, giving users access to key metrics when sharing or reviewing reports offline.
Raw data table also available in reports
A raw data table has been added to both interactive and downloadable reports. When selected this gives users direct access to detailed trial data for deeper analysis and greater transparency.
As always, we look forward to hearing your feedback as we continue to make QuickTrials the ultimate Field Trial management solution. Let us know what you think by email (support@quicktrials.com) any time.
