In our never ending quest to provide you with the best field trial software, for all types of trials, here are the enhancements and new features we’ve added to QuickTrials in the last two months!
Faster mobile app performance
Depending on how your trials are configured, you may have noticed the mobile App was slow in some places. Thanks to new performance improvements the mobile App is now 10x faster in some of the most problematic cases. The update with this change will be available for download in the next day or two.
We’ve identified some additional places where performance can be further improved and will be introducing further enhancements in the coming weeks. As always we recommend updating your mobile App to the latest version to get the best experience.
Treatments
The new treatment feature makes life easier when conducting trials that involve the application of treatments. You’ll find it simpler to define treatments and will be able to analyse the results in a more natural way. Field staff will also find it more intuitive when entering data as the treatment terminology matches what they are used to, even when treatment / entry labels vary for the same test subject in different trials. If you would like to use the new treatment feature, let us know so we can enable it for your company account and show how to apply it best to your trials.
Draggable traits
Traits can now be dragged to easily change the desired order in the trial setup wizard.
Site location
When a site shape is defined, the location of the site is now automatically calculated based on the shape coordinates.
Individual visit analysis
You can now view traits per individual visits in the Analysis tab. This provides a deeper dive into the data collected during each site visit, enabling more precise and targeted analysis.
Shape area units
In the mobile app you can now change the unit (Eg. m², mi², ha) for the displayed area of the shape trait.
Two additional trial states
“Completed” and “Cancelled” are two new states that can be used to define the status of a trial.
Observation history enhancements
You can now easily restore historical GPS coordinates and user information for any measurement as part of the history audit log add-on.
Scheduled visits
The Trait’s Scheduled Visit is now editable on Trial Wizard.
